For a decade Oscar has taught filmmaking with evangelical zeal to hundreds of young adults and kids from all over the world, for everyone from the BBC to homeless shelters, everywhere from Oxford colleges to tents in muddy fields.
He believes everyone should be able use the most powerful medium in the world, and tries to enable his students to go on making films for the rest of their lives. He's hugely proud of his many alums who've been accepted to major film schools, started film companies or won festivals and prizes - but mainly because they've kept on telling their stories to the world. |
